koolenARCHITECTURE was established in 2010 by architect Megan Koolen as a small architectural practice with a focus on creating inspiring architectural spaces that are timeless, spacious, light filled and unique, yet practical to suit the needs of the individual client and features of the site. Sustainable architectural design is also an important underlying feature throughout our design process and an important essential basic element in any koolenARCHITECTURE design.
With a passion for not only the creative thinking and design aspects of the project, but also for the detailed design and construction process as a whole, attention to detail is something we pride ourselves on to ensure quality and success of the project outcome. We work together with our clients to ensure their project outcome exceeds their expectations.
Principal architect Megan Koolen has been working in the architecture and construction industry for almost 20 years and has experience in a wide range of project types and scales. Our range of experience from small scale residential new homes, alterations & additions, multi residential townhouses and units, all they way up to large, multi-million dollar residential, high rise residential, commercial, mixed use and retail design as well as urban design and masterplanning projects at international, national and local levels, ensures you are provided with well-rounded knowledge to suit any project.
Megan gained this large scale experience while working for many years as an Associate for a large international company based in Melbourne and for a period of time in the Dubai office. With qualifications including BA(Arch), BArch(Hons) and a Masters of Construction Law and currently registered as an architect in Victoria and New South Wales, Megan and the team are well prepared to handle all your architectural needs.
